Giovano Solomons

pic01Giovano Solomons resides with his parents and siblings in Mitchells Plain. His father and brother love their rugby, with his brother still playing club rugby.

He joined the Square Hill Primary school karate in February 2013. Two weeks after joining he was entered into a school karate tournament where he won gold.

In March 2013 his parents enrolled him at the Santori Karate Club. After intense training he was entered into a Boland tournament where he won and was invited back 3 times. He then progressed to challenge for his Western Province colors and won.

In March 2014 he was invited to participate in a championship in Botswana. He won gold, silver and a Kata trophy and was crowned the Botswana Grand Champion. On his return home he was double graded.

pic02In October 2014 he went to a Bloemfontein tournament where he won a gold trophy for Kata and silver for Kumaty.

At a club tournament in in November 2014he won silver for Kumaty.

In December 2014 his hard work throughout the year saw him being graded to Orange 2nd level.

How fitting for this young man to end the year being awarded with the Best All Rounder in his Catergory

He concluded the year with 6xGold medals: 6xSilver medals: 5xBronze medals and 4xTrophies.

The sky is definitely the limit for this little maestro. As a team we are wholeheartedly supporting him thru 2015 and beyond. The best is yet to come.
